Jana Eschbach
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Jana Eschbach is a General Assignment Reporter currently assigned to CBS 12's Treasure Coast Bureau in Port Saint Lucie. She is an award-winning reporter recognized by the Florida Bar Association for Outstanding Court Coverage for her series on political corruption. She is also an accredited member of the National Press Photographer's Association. Prior to joining CBS 12 in 2003, Jana was the Collier County political reporter for WZVN-TV in Ft. Myers-Naples for three years. She began her television career as a floor director at WUSA-TV in Washington, D. C., gained experience in the anchor chair at Prestige Vision 3 in Westminster, Maryland, and worked as a reporter in Fort Myers for the Florida News Channel. She has a B.A. in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Maryland, College Park. While in college as a Rotary International Exchange Student she lived in Denia, Spain, and is fluent in Castillan Spanish and Catalan. Jana served as a White House Intern in 1997 during President Clinton's administration, and maintains her contacts with colleagues in The District. At CBS 12, Jana was part of News 12's Emmy award winning coverage of the 2003 tornado. She lives in St. Lucie County.
