Eat Pizza And Save A Life
Comments 0 | Recommend 0If you can eat pizza, you can help save a life Thursday night. A Fort Pierce young man needs your help. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and lost his leg. Thursday, a local restaurant is trying help the family pay those expensive medical bills.
23 year-old Chris Dixon played basketball and football at Fort Pierce Westwood High School. In mid-September after three months of pain and wrong answers, he was told he had cancerous tumors in his thigh and a leg full of blood clots. He underwent surgery that forced the removal of his entire right leg and hip. Dixon has no health insurance.
So, Big Apple Pizza in Fort Pierce heard the story and they had to help.
Dixon's mom, Tammy Williams - Hall, says, "Everybody says there is love in this community. They truly love my son and he has really been going through a lot. 23 years old and lost his leg to cancer and now he is going through chemo."
