Man Makes Bomb Threats to Postpone Sentencing
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Deandre Love, 26, called 911 and told dispatchers he put a bomb at the St. Lucie County Courthouse so he could postpone getting sentenced for his felony case.
Love was scheduled to be sentenced November 7, but that morning he called 911 twice and said there was "C-4" in the building set to go off in 30 minutes, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.
The building was evacuated at the time, and investigators were able to trace both calls back to Love through phone records.
Love did show up at the courthouse with the lawyer while it was evacuated and he, his lawyer and the judge agreed to postpone sentencing until January. For now, he is in jail charged with phoning in the false report of a bomb.
