Cleaning Lady Connected to Grand Theft
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Martin County Sheriff's Office has arrested a woman in connection with a grand theft reported on November 6, 2008.
Laura Scoggins is a former employee of a local cleaning service and is charged with taking items from the homes of clients and her employer while performing cleaning services.
The owner of the cleaning service has fully cooperated with authorities during the investigation and has contacted clients asking them to conduct full inventories of their valuables to ensure there are no additional victims. Scoggins was arrested on two St. Lucie County warrants at the same time for grand theft, dealing in stolen property, and giving false name to pawnbroker. She has posted bond in the amount of $15,500.
